No! No, just the once. But I never got a chance to say it before. That I'm glad you're not.

Thanks. I'm glad I'm not, too. It was pretty close there on Jakku. Think I had a concussion, and that desert is far from forgiving. But some scavengers found me, and they gave me a lift home.

[ it's unlikely that she'll know them, but she can't help but ask. she kind of misses jakku, in weird ways. life was simpler there, and it was her home for most of her life. ]

It's all right. Too bad you never met them. They were good, kind. I'll never forget how they helped me.

Scavengers know what it's like to lose something. They're the best sort of people to help get you back on your feet after.

I know that now, for sure. I paid them back in Koyo melons from my family's ranch when they dropped me off. They said they'd make a fortune off them. I hope they did. I'd like to think they're doing all right for themselves.

They did. If they had the sense to sell them, they'll go years without worrying about food.

Yeah. But I kind of hope they kept and ate a couple, too ... they're really good. Probably one of my favorite things to have with me on long trips.

I did, actually! I've been trying to ration them out, but I wouldn't mind sharing with you.

Oh, you don't have to! You should save them.

I grew up on a ranch, so I already know a lot about planting things. I'd be happy to teach you what I know.
