i didn't think so either, but it's a whole situation. there's someone from about 30 years in our past here, and she thinks he wants to change things so the losing side in the last war won. i don't think he's
it's not easy to explain. it's complicated. we should be working together while we're here regardless, right? it shouldn't matter.
but rey asked me for information about him, and i gave it to her before i realized her and kylo want this guy gone. not just in a reporting him way, they wanna do it with their own hands. mind powers. whatever.
Well, for one— I agree with you. Whether we like it or not, whether we like each other or not, we agreed to be part of a team. Out of naked self-interest, if nothing else, we should try to pull together.
Two, that isn't how time works. Your past already happened. Even if they succeeded in getting rid of him, or he succeeded in changing something, it's likely it'd just create an alternative timeline. They might end up completely erasing their (your?) version of the universe and displace themselves from the timeline(s) entirely.

People have done that, you know. Changed something in their past, and technically became permanent refugees in another timeline.
permanent refugees? how? we'd never be able to go home? or we'd go "back" and everything would be different?
i was thinking about it, though. if we have incentives that would change things in our timelines, and we get them and we go back ... isn't everyone trying to change their timelines, technically? the only way to not "change" a timeline is to do nothing at all.
In theory, yeah, you'll be creating a new timeline. But you'll be living in that one. It'll be your reality. Even if another reality exists in which you didn't change anything, you won't be living in that one. Another Poe Dameron will live there, doing whatever he would have done if things had proceeded along whatever trajectory you find unsatisfactory. Do you follow?
so it's like i said. everyone's trying to change their timeline one way or another. almost everyone. so ... we *want* to be refugees, right? we have to leave our timeline that was gonna go whatever way it was gonna go to get to the better one, but we'll still know about the other one.
